Audio Adrenaline Album Cover

The assignment was to make an album cover using the skills we had been working on in Photoshop. I decided to make an album cover for a band I liked but I did not want to use an album title they actually had so I made up a name for an album.

The bottom layer is a picture of them in concert and then I have a tilted picture of the band members with a black box on the layer beneath it. I used the Text Select Tool to cut the text out of the background image and bring it to the front. While playing with it, I found that typing on the edge of the editable region cuts off the top of the letters in the selection. The top text was so dark that even with the bevel it was hard to see so I overlaid it with a brownish color at 50% opacity. I like this cover because it goes well with the album title "Beyond the Noise" that I chose for it.
