This was my final in my Illustrator class. We were assigned to make the front and one page of a children's book for Timothy and the Strong Pijamas. The storyline was given and we were told to just show off as many of the skills we had learned in the class. Below is the cover for the book. For the other half of this assignment, go here.
For this page, I used the, flowers, grass, fence, grass, sky, aligator, and boy from the other page (why re-invent the wheel?). I created the princess in her tower as a two-demintional shape (paturn is the aligator's with an overlay of brown, face is the boy's with color and line weights changed) and then I used the 3D-Object tool to make it a tower. The elephant I drew with the pen tool.
*Please note that both of these were created to be high-resolution for profesional printing (300 psi) so they may appear jagged on a monitor (usually 72 psi). Other tools, such as the text tool, were also used but are not discussed here. |
